Weird MC has been up to a lot recently. In between pushing out new artiste Shuley Dee and working on her upcoming album, she still manages to throw in some high-brow performances in the mix of it all.

‘The Weird One’ recently performed alongside iconic female rap group Salt-N-Pepa. At the show she gave the crowd a taste of new singles “Ijoya (Remix)” and “Fiesta.” Of her new material out, Weird MC says “The new singles are doing extremely well. Radio has just been going crazy with the songs, steady rotation. I didn’t expect that kind of reception at all, not just Lagos alone, everywhere.

Young D is on the cut and he did the production as well.”

 There are also plans for a “Fiesta” video and in-demand cinematographer Moe Musa just might be Weird MC’s choice for video director.
In between all the excitement of her new material, we couldn’t help asking Weird about marriage plans and if she intended changing her single status anytime soon. She simply replied “No, I don’t have time for that. It’s not even in my plans. Right now I’ve got an album coming out, so that’s not in my plans.”
