Sharon Benjamin-Hodo, mother of popular US rapper Andre 3000 is dead; a rep for the rapper confirmed to Billboard.com yesterday.
Billboard is reporting that Benjamin-Hodo was found dead in her Atlanta home on Monday May 28, 2013, one day after Andre’s 38th birthday.
Cause of death remains unknown and the rapper hasn’t spoken to the press either.
Andre 3000 (real name André Lauren Benjamin) is best known for being part of hip-hop duo OutKast alongside fellow rapper Big Boi.
